Value Stream Lead

Responsibilities
Direct supervision and responsibility for 20+ bargaining unit employees and additional support/technical personnel
Collaboration and communication with upstream and downstream VSLs and leadership
Utilization of knowledge of manufacturing principles, manufacturing support team roles and responsibilities and manufacturing systems in support of daily execution
Execution and sustainment of product focused processes, tooling, equipment and test architecture
Personnel performance input for all related functions and career development of team members including coaching and mentoring
Perform a wide variety of improvements, efforts and initiatives related to the factory manufacturing system
Assisting with labor forecasts and Estimates at Compete (EACs) for the touch employees
Execute priorities relating to safety, people, quality, delivery, and cost
Interact with support engineering, supply chain, and quality with respect to project schedules
Qualification
Required
Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum of five (5) years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum three (3) years' experience
Experience with either Manufacturing or Operations
Supervisory or managerial experience
The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
Preferred
Experience working in a manufacturing environment or bargaining unit employees
Experience working in a cross-functional team environment
Previous experience leading a direct team with specific deadlines, requirements or deliverables
Familiarity with manufacturing and industrial engineering practices
Familiarity with quality requirements relating to manufacturing environments
