Responsibilities
Prepare, review, and issue customer invoices based on contracts, purchase orders, and project milestones
Ensure billing aligns with job cost reports, work orders, and percentage-of-completion schedules
Reconcile billing data with project managers and operations to resolve discrepancies
Maintain accurate billing records and support revenue recognition processes
Generate and distribute weekly and monthly billing, backlog, and revenue reports
Monitor unbilled revenue and follow up on outstanding documentation needed for invoicing
Respond to customer billing inquiries and resolve invoice disputes in a timely manner
Partner closely with Accounts Receivable to ensure smooth handoff of invoiced accounts and collections support
Assist with month-end close activities, including billing accruals and account reconciliations
Support internal audits and ensure compliance with company policies and contractual requirements
Contribute to a collaborative team environment while meeting deadlines and department goals
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field is required
2+ years of experience in billing, revenue accounting, or a related role—preferably in construction or manufacturing
Strong working knowledge of project-based billing, progress billing, or milestone billing
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and experienced with ERP systems such as JD Edwards, SAP, Oracle, or similar
