Law Practice
Responsibilities
Manage and lead litigation cases from inception through resolution, including pre-trial, trial, and post-trial activities
Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, and other legal documents
Develop and implement effective litigation strategies to protect client interests
Negotiate settlements and work collaboratively with opposing counsel to resolve disputes
Advise clients on potential legal risks and business strategies related to litigation matters
Participate in and manage discovery processes, including depositions and interrogatories
Represent clients in court hearings, mediations, and arbitrations
Qualification
Required
Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
Admitted to practice and in good standing with the state bar
3-5 years of experience in commercial litigation and business disputes
Strong analytical, research, and writing skills
Excellent communication and negotiation abilities
Proven track record of managing multiple cases and deadlines effectively
Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
Active Bar License in good standing in at least one U.S. jurisdiction
A minimum of four (4) years of substantive experience in complex commercial or securities litigation
Proven expertise in federal and state motion practice and the deposition process
A stable professional history, defined as having no more than two employers within the previous five-year period and no unexplained gaps in tenure
Preferred
Experience in a variety of industries and a diverse client base
Background in alternative dispute resolution (ADR) mechanisms
Knowledge of current legal trends and developments in commercial litigation
Prior experience representing broker-dealers or investment advisers in FINRA arbitration or SEC investigations
Advanced proficiency in legal research platforms and remote practice management technologies
Exceptional written advocacy skills with the ability to synthesize complex financial concepts into compelling legal arguments
