Responsibilities

Develop and execute a merchandising strategy that aligns to company financial goals, drive top line sales and margin

Manage merchandise receipts and open to buy including markdown strategies

Initiate the development, purchase and delivery of merchandise assortments

Negotiate all aspects of product purchasing with vendors

Interpret fashion trends for our customer

Communicate merchandise information to appropriate cross-functional team members

Shop competition and our stores regularly; and

Train and mentor direct reports; motivate and encourage success

Required

Possesses a proven history of fashion buying experience in a specialty retail organization

Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail

Ability to work independently along with cross-functional collaboration

Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook

Ability to travel to stores and competition

Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent experience
