Human Resources Generalist
Confidential company is seeking a Human Resources Generalist to support day-to-day HR operations with a focus on data accuracy and employee support. The role involves maintaining HR systems, assisting with onboarding and offboarding processes, and partnering with Payroll and Accounting for accurate processing.
Responsibilities
Accurately enter new hire and termination information into the HR database in a timely manner, ensuring data integrity and compliance
Maintain and update employee records, including personal information, job changes, compensation updates, and other HR-related data
Ensure all required documentation is complete, accurate, and properly filed
Generate HR reports and extract data from HR systems as requested
Perform regular audits of HR records and processes to ensure accuracy and regulatory compliance
Coordinate new hire onboarding activities, including pre-employment drug screening, background checks, and insurability requirements
Support employee offboarding processes and ensure accurate documentation and system updates
Assist with leave of absence administration and benefits-related processes
Complete, review, and maintain required HR reporting and auditing procedures
Assist in addressing employee questions, concerns, and workplace issues
Support conflict resolution efforts and escalate complex matters to the HR Manager when appropriate
Maintain a high level of professionalism and confidentiality in all employee interactions
Partner with Payroll and Accounting to ensure accurate payroll processing, including hours reporting, deductions, and adjustments
Support compliance with payroll-related policies and procedures
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience)
Minimum of 2 years of relevant Human Resources experience
Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to prioritize effectively
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet established deadlines
Comfortable speaking in front of groups and communicating with employees at all levels
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
Proficient computer and telephone skills
Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment
Cooperative, team-oriented, calm under pressure, and able to work independently
