Responsibilities
Operate inspection equipment (Hand Gages, CMMs, Keyence optical comparators, etc), to validate product conformance to all internal and customer documented quality requirements
Support capability evaluations, measurement systems analysis and improvement efforts for new and existing parts
Perform advanced bench and layout inspections in addition to CMM / Keyence evaluations, to assist Engineering in completing proof of concept work
Support site Calibration processes by assisting in the completion of calibrations, updating the Gage recall systems, and issuing gages as needed
Support resolution of measurement issues in the Cells and communicate recommendations for corrective / preventive action and quality improvement
Support and participate in the Internal Audit Process, Certified Operator Audits, customer and process audits, and NADCAP Certification Teams, where necessary
Support Preliminary Review of NCMR’s for validity of rejections and clarity of documentation, where conditions warrant, may include the need to initiate and follow up on stock purges and line checks
Qualification
Required
High School diploma or GED equivalent
Must have or be willing and able to obtain Certification by The American Society for Quality
Must be proficient in reading blueprints
Working knowledge of Microsoft suite (Excel, Outlook, etc)
Requires a minimum of three years of experience working in a manufacturing facility with ISO9001/AS9100
Requires experience in a role with responsibility to accept/reject product
Must have experience with and be able to use inspection measurement hand tools and instrumentation
Bias for action, integrity, strong interpersonal skills, ability to work with minimal supervision, and superior communication skills are required competencies
Preferred
Experience with gage repeatability and reproducibility (Gage R&R) studies and process capability measurement
