Manufacturing Engineer
Edelbrock Performance is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to develop, improve, and support manufacturing processes for CNC-machined aluminum components. The role focuses on process stability, continuous improvement, and collaboration across operations, quality, and suppliers to meet production goals.

Responsibilities
Evaluate and improve existing manufacturing processes to enhance safety, quality, throughput, cost, and process stability
Design, develop, and implement new production lines for CNC-machined aluminum components
Develop manufacturing process flows, layouts, and standard work documentation
Review component designs and assembly operations to ensure manufacturability and efficient production
Specify, coordinate, and validate tooling, fixtures, gauges, and manufacturing equipment
Work with internal teams and external suppliers to support tooling and equipment design, build, and launch
Support capital and tooling strategies, including cost analysis, justification, and implementation
Assist with equipment commissioning, process validation, and production ramp-up
Apply Lean manufacturing principles to reduce waste, scrap, rework, and cycle time
Lead or support root cause analysis efforts using structured problem-solving tools
Develop and implement process controls to ensure consistent and repeatable results
Support standardization and best-practice development across the production area
Manage or support manufacturing-related projects from concept through implementation
Collaborate with operations, quality, engineering, sourcing, and program teams to support quoting, launches, and ongoing production needs
Interface with suppliers, peers, and industry resources to research and apply new technologies and manufacturing methods
Participate in training, seminars, and conferences to maintain and expand technical expertise
Support and adhere to all corporate policies, procedures, and safety requirements
Promote a safe work environment and support continuous safety improvement initiatives
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical discipline
Minimum of 3 years of manufacturing engineering experience in a production environment
Hands-on CNC machining experience required, preferably with aluminum components
Experience developing and implementing manufacturing processes and process controls
Working knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles
Strong project coordination skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate across all levels of the organization
Ability to travel as needed to support plants, suppliers, and customers
Preferred
Experience with automation and/or robotics
Exposure to capital project justification and equipment procurement
Familiarity with root cause analysis tools (e.g., 5 Whys, Fishbone) and SPC
CAD experience (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar)
Experience supporting new product or production line launches
