Responsibilities

Perform detailed technical design, coding, and testing of applications

Serve as a subject matter expert for internal discussions related to maintaining and enhancing existing software systems

Develop and analyze interface design documentation

Ensure compliance with hardware/software standards and procedures

Deliver large-scale systems supporting thousands of users

Adhere to code quality, migration, and DevOps standards and policies

Conduct software analysis, including requirements gathering, use case development, and design

Implement and document source code based on design specifications

Perform software testing, including automated unit tests and structured test cases

Compile and report data from testing and analysis

Develop solutions for enterprise environments, addressing both functional and non-functional requirements (e.g., performance, availability)

Perform operations and maintenance (O&M) of existing systems and identify areas for improvement

Demonstrate experience with front-end and back-end programming, integration frameworks, and tools

Assist in estimating development efforts for application features

Provide technical support for critical issues and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable, scalable software

Recommend and integrate new technologies, extend open-source libraries as needed, and contribute to product roadmap and architecture discussions

Continuously evaluate emerging technologies and mentor junior engineers

Required

Minimum 7 years in software development, including coding, compilation, architecture/design, requirements definition, and specification development

Strong communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences

Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships

Deep understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)

Proficiency in integrating complex systems

Knowledge of programming languages (e.g., JavaScript, C, Python)

Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and database technologies (SQL, Oracle, MongoDB, PostgreSQL)

Hands-on experience with Selenium for automated testing

Proficiency in IBM DB2 database management and development

Understanding of best practices in software engineering, agile methodologies, and CI/CD pipelines

Experience with test-first practices (TDD, BDD) and automated testing frameworks

Expertise in deployment, continuous integration, and delivery processes

Strong knowledge of code quality and promotion practices

Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities while delivering excellent service
