Proposal Estimator
LS ELECTRIC America, Inc. is seeking a Proposal Estimator to prepare proposals and estimates for transformer and switchboard solutions. The role involves utilizing various systems to ensure accurate proposals, working with engineering teams, and developing competitive pricing strategies.

Responsibilities
Utilize MTDS, OTDS, and LSPE systems to prepare proposals and estimates for Mold & Oil Transformers, UL891 Switchboard, and UL67 Panelboard Solutions
Input and generate BOMs based on customer specifications, ensuring accuracy and completeness
Work with engineering teams to review and validate transformers, UL891 Switchboard, and UL67 panelboard drawings, ensuring compliance with customer requirements
Develop competitive costing and pricing strategies, ensuring optimal solutions for both standard and customized transformers, UL891, and UL67 proposals
Analyze RFQs (Request for Quotations) to determine technical feasibility, compliance with standards, and pricing competitiveness
Work closely with sales and manufacturing teams to optimize proposals and ensure smooth project execution
Ensure all proposals align with industry standards such as ANSI, IEEE, IEC, NEMA, UL891, UL67, NEC, and customer-specific requirements
Assist in preparing and reviewing technical specifications, submittals, and compliance documents
Continuously enhance proposal tools and workflows to improve efficiency and accuracy in MTDS, OTDS, and LSPE usage
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in transformer (mold & oil), Switchboard (UL891) and panelboard (UL67) proposal, estimation, and technical sales support
Strong understanding of LV/MV transformer systems, UL891 Switchboard, UL67 panelboards, and associated power distribution equipment
Ability to interpret technical drawings, BOMs, and specifications, ensuring accuracy in proposals
Proficient in AutoCAD, BOM management tools, and ERP systems. Experience with pricing
Strong ability to work with sales, manufacturing, and customers to deliver accurate and competitive proposals
Knowledge of ANSI, IEEE, IEC, UL891, UL67, NEC requirements for transformers, switchboard, and panelboard systems
