LTIMindtree is seeking a Senior Ignition SME to act as the technical authority and hands-on developer for Ignition-based automation and MES solutions. The role involves gathering and analyzing business requirements, translating them into functional designs, and leading solution architecture reviews while mentoring junior developers.

Responsibilities

Act as the technical authority and hands-on developer for Ignition-based automation and MES solutions

Gather, analyze, and document business and functional requirements

Translate requirements into functional designs, Ignition screens, scripts, and integration logic

Design, develop, and deploy Ignition projects using Gateway, Designer, Perspective, and Vision modules

Create and optimize Perspective, HMI dashboards, alarms, reporting workflows, and data pipelines

Configure Tag Providers, Transaction Groups, Tag Historian, and MQTT connectivity

Integrate Ignition with PLCs, OPC UA servers, SQL databases, and ERP/MES/external systems

Lead and participate in solution architecture reviews, scalability planning, and performance optimization

Ensure Best practices, Coding standards, Version control, and documentation are maintained

Mentor and guide junior developers, providing technical reviews and on-the-job training

Collaborate closely with business users, plant engineers, and IT/OT teams

Ensure compliance with ISA-95, cybersecurity, and organizational standards

Required

10–15 years of experience in industrial automation, SCADA/MES, or IIoT projects

Strong hands-on experience developing solutions in Ignition (v8+)
