They are seeking a Propulsion Component Responsible Engineer to own the production support, qualification, acceptance, and sustained performance of in-house cryogenic motor valves used across multiple flight vehicles.

Responsibilities

Serve as Responsible Engineer and technical owner for cryogenic motor valves across multiple propulsion systems and vehicles
Maintain valve design intent, functional performance, interfaces, and configuration control
Support in-house motor valve production, working directly with manufacturing technicians and test personnel
Plan, execute, and review qualification and acceptance testing in accordance with established procedures and standards
Review test data, disposition anomalies, and implement corrective actions as required
Evaluate and implement design changes driven by test results, production feedback, or operational needs
Ensure compliance with applicable NASA, industry, and internal standards for pressure systems and flight hardware
Support propulsion system integration, vehicle-level testing, and mission operations as required
Participate in design reviews, test readiness reviews, and certification or acceptance boards
Coordinate with systems engineering, safety, manufacturing, and operations teams throughout the hardware lifecycle
Contribute to general propulsion engineering activities, including component support, system integration, test support, and mission operations, as needed

Required

BS in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience, or MS with a minimum of 1 year of relevant experience
Experience supporting hardware through build, test, qualification, or acceptance phases
Strong working knowledge of valves, seals, motors, cryogenic fluids, and high-pressure systems
Experience writing, executing, or reviewing hardware test procedures and test data
Experience working with manufacturing technicians and test operators
Solid understanding of propulsion system fundamentals, fluid mechanics, and thermodynamics
Clear technical communication and sound engineering judgment
Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, cross-disciplinary environment
Strong organizational skills and ability to manage competing priorities
Willingness to support testing and mission operations schedules when required

Preferred

Prior experience acting as a component owner or primary point of contact for flight hardware
Familiarity with NASA, aerospace, or safety-critical hardware standards and reviews
Experience with cryogenic propulsion feed system components
Exposure to configuration control, drawings, and change control processes
Experience supporting multiple programs or vehicle configurations in parallel
