Responsibilities
Design Development: Create detailed 2D and 3D piping designs, including layouts, routing, and support drawings for plumbing, HVAC, process, and utility systems
Software Proficiency: Utilize REVIT software to draft designs and create models
Code Compliance: Ensure designs comply with relevant building and plumbing design standards, codes and project-specific material specifications
Material Selection: Based on fluid services and project requirements, select appropriate pipes, fittings, valves, and other components
Collaboration: Work with architects, engineers, project managers, and other team members to ensure integrated and constructible designs
Problem-Solving: Analyze and resolve design challenges, ensuring the efficiency, accuracy, and safety of the piping system
Qualification
Required
An Associate's or Bachelor's degree in engineering, drafting technology, or a related field is typically required
5 - 10 years of experience in piping or plumbing design, often including experience with Revit
Preferred
Federal Design experience a significant plus
