Responsibilities
Organize and optimize the Texas Direct Sales Department to maximize profit margins and sales/rental volumes
Partner with the Director of Sales to develop and execute long-range corporate objectives for the Texas territory
Guide RSMs in developing short- and intermediate-term sales plans that align with overarching company growth goals
Select, mentor, and evaluate a team of Regional Sales Managers
Design and implement training programs focused on aggressive sales techniques, market stimulation, and maintaining the TMW quality image
Delegate authority effectively by teaching subordinates the principles of sound management and professional judgment
Collaborate on market research programs to identify new opportunities and measure the effectiveness of our market penetration
Direct the creation and revision of departmental procedures to increase sales efficiency and asset utilization
Maintain a positive public image for Taylor Machine Works and ensure a strong, collaborative rapport across the Taylor Group of Companies
Qualification
Required
8+ years of high-level sales experience, preferably within the material handling or heavy equipment industry
Proven track record of managing sales teams and driving territory growth
Deep competency in professional sales techniques and a thorough understanding of competitive equipment and material handling solutions
Ability to travel the Texas territory on a near-daily basis to support the team and engage with customers
Exceptional communication and presentation skills; must maintain a professional and 'presentable' appearance as a face of the brand
Proficiency in computer systems and a high degree of attention to detail
