Responsibilities
Preparing, setting up, and breaking down testing equipment
Ensuring all systems function properly before and after each evolution
Accurately managing inspection records and testing documentation
Logging results using laptops, tablets, or other electronic devices
Assisting with:
Aerial testing (NFPA 1911)
Ground ladder testing (NFPA 1932 / 1901)
Maintaining equipment accountability at every job site
Keeping company vehicles, trailers, and work areas clean and professional
Working around public facilities such as firehouses, schools, and parks
Operating vehicles and equipment safely and responsibly
Wearing appropriate PPE including gloves, safety footwear, and eye protection
Qualification
Required
Have a genuine passion for working with fire service equipment
Enjoy being on the move and are willing to travel to fire departments across the Northeast and Southeast
Communicate professionally and confidently with fire department personnel and clients
Can handle physically demanding, outdoor work for extended periods
Are committed to learning, following procedures, and working safely
Want to be trained to operate specialized NFPA-compliant testing equipment
Thrive in a fast-paced, schedule-driven environment
Take pride in being part of a reliable, high-performing team
Trustworthy, organized, and sound in judgment
Willing to travel — including overnight stays when needed
Familiar with fire department operations, terminology, and culture
Experience with — or willingness to learn — NFPA hose and ladder testing standards
Professional communicator who represents the company well in the field
Dependable, punctual, honest, and team-oriented
Able to lift, pull, and carry equipment weighing 50–100+ lbs
Able to pass: Fitness for Duty Program
Able to pass: Full background screening (MVR, Drug & Alcohol, Legal, Credit)
Preferred
CDL A or B preferred (not required)
Firefighter certifications are a plus
Language: English preferred
