Responsibilities
Contribute to the development and support of data-driven software solutions that enhance how American Tower interacts with its assets
Assist with building interactive models and visualizations of U.S.-based assets using modern tools and techniques
Support cross-functional projects by helping to automate data analysis and contribute to user interface development
Collaborate with the IT department and other teams to support system integrations and ensure smooth data workflows
Assist with identifying opportunities to use unmanned aircraft system data to improve operations; help define scopes and requirements under guidance
Help develop internal and customer-facing software tools using standard data collection and processing techniques
Work with peers and mentors to ensure data quality and scalability in processing and analyses workflows
Take the initiative to learn how to use new technologies and contribute to continuous improvement efforts
Perform other duties as assigned, with a focus on learning and growing within the role
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, a related field or equivalent practical experience required
Between 0–2 years of software engineering or data modeling experience, ideally with exposure to AI/ML, cloud computing, or 3D modeling technologies
Familiarity with programming languages such as Python, JavaScript, or Java (coursework or internship experience is acceptable)
Exposure to Agile or Scrum methodologies through academic projects or internships
Basic understanding of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud); certifications or hands-on labs preferred
Approximately 10% travel may be required to support the position's responsibilities
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Effective written and verbal communication skills; ability to present ideas clearly and work with cross-functional teams
Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks with guidance and mentorship
Preferred
Experience with point cloud manipulation, CAD, third-party GIS, or photogrammetry software preferred
Interest in or experience with photogrammetry, CAD, GIS, or point cloud data preferred but not required
