Responsibilities

Perform routine maintenance tasks, including painting, plumbing, electrical work, and HVAC management
Assist in hotel security, including door locks, key security, and enforcing safety policies
Respond to guest requests, and maintain communication with the Front Desk and Chief Engineer
Maintain pool area cleanliness and safety, and ensure the quality appearance of the hotel’s interior and exterior
Perform minor repairs, manage inventory, and oversee guest room equipment functionality
Report major issues to the Chief Engineer and keep accurate maintenance records
Learn and apply emergency procedures, ensuring the safe operation of all equipment and chemicals
Lead team members in the absence of a supervisor, ensuring proper performance and task completion
Embrace company culture and perform other duties as required

Required

Current Driver's License required
Strong leadership, management, and communication skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)
Ability to handle multiple tasks, deliver results, and work well with various personality types
Effective in motivating team members and maintaining tact and diplomacy
Capable of multitasking, prioritizing, and presenting professionally to individuals and teams
Heavy work, with the ability to exert up to 100 pounds of force occasionally
Close visual acuity required for data analysis, machine operation, and inspections
Work occurs indoors and outdoors, with exposure to hazards such as moving parts, electrical currents, and chemicals
Occasional work in confined spaces and narrow aisles

Preferred

Vocational certification and apprenticeship in HVAC, plumbing, or electrical repair preferred
2 years of supervisory experience and 3 years in plumbing, electrical, or painting trades preferred
