Responsibilities
Counsel employers on workplace policies, compliance with employment laws, and best practices for risk mitigation
Draft and review employment agreements, separation agreements, and personnel policies
Conduct workplace investigations and training for employers
Represent clients in federal and state courts, as well as before administrative agencies (EEOC, IDHR, etc.)
Handle all aspects of employment litigation, including pleadings, discovery, motion practice, mediations, and trial preparation
Collaborate with firm leadership on marketing, client development, and strategic growth of the employment law practice
Qualification
Required
J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school with strong academic credentials
5–8 years of experience in employment law and related litigation
Admitted and in good standing with the Illinois Bar
Excellent analytical, writing, and communication skills
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Proven ability to manage multiple matters and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Demonstrated ability to build and maintain client relationships
Preferred
Candidates with a portable book of business or demonstrated business development experience are highly encouraged to apply, but not necessary
