Administrative Specialist I
The North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) is one of the largest agencies in the state, responsible for ensuring the health and well-being of all North Carolinians. The Administrative Specialist I will serve as a customer service representative for Food and Nutrition Services, assisting recipients with EBT card inquiries and problem-solving using various data sources.

Responsibilities
Serve as the customer service representative for Food and Nutrition Services recipients
Engage in problem solving using recipient information, data from an administrative terminal, NC FAST database, on-line information guide and online manual
Qualification
Required
High school diploma or General Educational Development (GED) diploma and two years of related administrative experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Preferred
Experience in the use of Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint, Outlook), along with the ability to navigate web-based applications and hyperlinked scripting guides
Experienced in telephone client services using modern VOIP phone systems and be able to handle high-volume calls (150 – 200 calls per day) promptly and efficiently
