Outside Sales Territory Sales Manager
Haygor Instrument & Company, Inc. is seeking an Outside Sales Territory Manager for the Midwest Region to develop new business and strengthen relationships with existing channel partners. The role involves training partners on services and products, conducting prospecting activities, and managing sales growth within the territory.
Responsibilities
Manage, develop, and grow business within the Midwest region
Build new relationships with customers and channel partners
Strengthen existing channel partner relationships through consistent communication and in-person visits
Conduct product and service training for distributors, reps, and customers
Present new and upcoming products, technical capabilities, and value-added services
Actively prospect through calls, emails, and in-person visits to generate new leads
Identify opportunities for diaphragm seal repairs, machining services, equipment cleaning, and custom application support
Conduct on-site customer visits, plant tours, and service consultations
Prepare proposals, negotiate pricing, and close new business
Monitor competitor activities and market trends within the region
Maintain a strong understanding of diaphragm seals, machining processes, fill fluids, cleaning procedures, and instrumentation applications (trainable if needed)
Collaborate with internal repair/service teams to ensure accurate technical information is communicated to customers
Review technical drawings, specifications, and customer requirements
Provide weekly updates on activities, opportunities, and forecasted business
Document customer interactions and opportunities within CRM/ERP systems
Participate in trade shows, product launches, and internal training sessions
Qualification
Required
3+ years of outside sales experience (industrial/manufacturing preferred)
Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills
Proven track record of prospecting and generating new business
Ability to travel regularly throughout the Midwest region
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM tools
Preferred
Knowledge of diaphragm seals, machining, pressure instrumentation, or related process equipment
Experience selling through distribution or channel partner networks
Ability to read technical drawings or understand mechanical specifications
Background in industrial service, repair, machining, or instrumentation environments
