Responsibilities

Researches, develops, designs, and tests electrical components, equipment, systems, and networks

Designs electrical equipment, facilities, components, products, and systems for commercial, industrial, and domestic purposes

Required

9 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 7 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; or 4 years relevant experience with PhD or Juris Doctorate in related field

US Citizen with ability to obtain a Secret or higher security clearance

Experience with the following: Printed circuit board (PCB) and cable harness design, Mixed digital and analog circuit design, Board level component selection including, but not limited to – microcontrollers, FPGAs, DC-DC converters, ADCs, accelerometers, etc., Various communications protocols including USB, SPI, I2C, and UART, Schematic capture and layout using Altium or equivalent SW tools, PCB bring-up and debugging, test plan documentation, requirements verification, Hands-on assembly of and modifications to custom and COTS electronics systems, Use of standard electrical test equipment including, but not limited to – DMM, oscilloscope, power supplies, electronic loads, Creation of complete technical data packages, Requirements tracking through design processes

Preferred

Active TS or TS/SCI security clearance

Experience with the following design elements: Circuit layout within tight and unusual mechanical constraints, Low SWAP, Multi-board systems, High speed layout, High power layout, Controlled impedance, RF, antennas, and communication systems integration

Expert troubleshooting and system debugging of hardware, firmware, and cabling

Design process oriented and milestone driven

Ability to mentor/lead more junior engineers and technicians

Experience interfacing directly with customers for requirements development and progress reporting

Experience contributing to technical proposal writing, cost estimating and technical risk assessments
