Sales and Logistics Account Manager, NS

Koppers Inc. is seeking a Sales and Logistics Account Manager to manage and optimize logistics and sales operations. The role involves meeting with personnel to resolve issues, managing key performance indicators, and coordinating production efforts between the company and its clients.

Responsibilities

Meet face to face with NS personnel (both engineering and purchasing) to resolve issues and evaluate opportunities
Must communicate demands and initiatives to Corporate and the Tie plants to assure all NS requirements are being met
Track and manage all key performance indicators (KPIs)
Trace, bill and assist in fleet management to drive production planning and manage inventory levels
Purchase order management
Resolve any invoice or accounts payable issues in a timely manner to minimize any impact to cash flow
Recognize and notify both Koppers and NS of potential cost savings opportunities
Manage railcar status, i.e., trace reporting
Notify respective personnel (procurement, engineering, treating plants) of any potential impacts to production based on railcar supply and inventory levels
Manage the NS switch tie priorities and orders and coordinate with roadway material yard
Assist with recurring production meetings between NS and Koppers Plants

Required

Bachelor's degree in business, logistics, forestry or related field
2-3 years of experience in operations, logistics, or marketing/sales
Ability to make decisions, plan and analyze information
Strong organization and leadership skills
Excellent communication skills
Proficiency with Microsoft word, MS-DOS, Excel and Outlook
