Software Engineer II (Travel - CONUS/OCONUS)

Responsibilities

Availability and willingness to travel CONUS (Contiguous United States) and OCONUS (Outside CONUS) (15% travel expected)
Provide software reach-back support to OCONUS/CONUS sites through process updates or investigation or software anomalies. Support will occasionally be off-hours
Design, develop, and test software based on software trouble reports in an agile, collaborative environment, delivering build to site twice a year
Participate in agile execution and continuous improvement
Work collaboratively with systems and SI&T engineers to analyze, implement, and test system modification requests to the existing system baseline

Required

Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 2 years of prior relevant experience
Experience with software development, test, and/or integration using C, C++ or Ada
Experience with Scripting languages (C, Shell, Perl)
Experience using debugging tools to quickly identify and fix software bugs, as well as optimize code for performance
Ability to obtain Interim Secret U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

Preferred

Experience on XBR, AN/TPY-2, COBRA DANE, QEWR, UEWR, SRP or other current missile defense programs
Data analysis using any combination of scripting tools, Python, Matlab, and COTS products
Knowledge of Redhat and Linux Operating Systems
Experience with tools such as Atlassian Suite (e.g., Bitbucket/Artifactory, Confluence, Crucible, Fisheye, Jira), Jenkins, Eclipse, and Ansible
Experience with technical writing such as SVDs and process plans
Experience working in Agile environments such as scrum, scrum at scale, SAFe and DevSecOps
Ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic environment with time-critical requirements
Experience contributing to a team environment for the purpose of developing creative solutions to difficult technical problems
Experience working in a continuous integration/continuous development environment; experience with CI/CD pipelines
Strong collaboration and communication skills
