The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center is seeking a Sourcing Analyst to manage lower spend/lower complexity commodity products and services. This role involves assisting with sourcing projects, managing public bidding events, and supporting contract implementation and supplier management.

Responsibilities

Manage projects under the direction of a Commodity Manager and assist with sourcing projects

Manage key components of public bidding events, and assist post-negotiation, assuring critical steps are taken for contract implementation

Assist with contract renewals and extensions, and renegotiate delivery, discounts, payment terms and/or freight terms on existing contracts

Monitor data to identify opportunities for cost savings, standardization or process improvements

Serve as a resource for the buyer team when special requests, item updates and/or supplier issues are escalated for a Sourcing decision

Assist in contract review, initiate supplier screening and on-boarding, and secure and initiate the load of critical product/service information into applicable systems

Support Value Analysis with new product reviews/introductions, product recalls, new product implementations and product conversions

Required

Bachelor's degree in business, healthcare or other related field

2 years of experience in purchasing ideally in a healthcare environment
