Akkodis is seeking a Deployment Network Engineer for a 6-month contract. The role involves leading a multi-site, multi-vendor network modernization and automation program to upgrade and standardize enterprise networking components across various locations.

Responsibilities

Program Planning & Governance: Build a master upgrade plan, risk register, RACI, change window calendar, and rollback strategy; align with CAB/ITIL processes

Automation Architecture: Design IaC/automation pipelines (e.g., Ansible, Python, Git, CI/CD) leveraging vendor APIs (Panorama XML/REST, Cisco RESTCONF/NETCONF, Arista eAPI, F5 iControl REST) to make upgrades repeatable, testable, and auditable

Pre Upgrade Readiness: Inventory, compatibility checks, image curation, lab validation, health baselines, config backups, and staged artifacts

Execution at Scale: Coordinate phased batches across sites; drive pre/post checks, traffic impact analysis, and HA failover testing; ensure Prisma Access plug in alignment

Quality & Observability: Implement telemetry, logs, and automated post validation (e.g., session tables, routing, services health, CPU/memory, interface status)

Documentation & Knowledge Transfer: Produce runbooks, SOPs, roll forward/rollback playbooks, and train operations/SD teams for day 2 automation

Stakeholder Management: Partner with InfoSec, NetOps, Service Desk, and application owners; communicate status, risks, and KPIs to leadership

Compliance & Security: Enforce standard images, hardening baselines, and policy conformance throughout all upgrades

Required

10+ years in enterprise networking with hands on multi vendor upgrades and HA designs (Palo Alto, Cisco Catalyst, Arista EOS, F5 BIG IP, APC)

Proven expertise building automation for network changes (Ansible playbooks/roles, Python tooling, Git workflows, CI/CD pipelines)

Deep knowledge of Pan OS/ Panorama HA, Cisco IOS XE (stacking/ISSU where applicable), Arista EOS, F5 TMOS/LTM/ASM, and APC mgmt suites

Strong change management discipline (ITIL), test planning, and executing upgrades in mission critical environments with zero/near zero downtime

Excellent communication; able to translate technical risk and outcomes to execs and non technical stakeholders

Arista ACE

F5 Certified (CTS/CA)

ITIL Foundation (or higher)

Any Schneider/Schneider Electric/APC relevant training a plus
