Restaurant Facilities Manager

Responsibilities

Oversee preventive and corrective maintenance across multiple restaurant locations
Troubleshoot and repair HVAC/R, refrigeration, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems
Maintain and service commercial kitchen and production equipment
Conduct routine inspections to ensure operational readiness and brand standards
Respond to emergency repairs and escalate critical issues when needed
Coordinate with approved third-party vendors for repairs and maintenance
Verify completed work, ensure quality standards, and approve invoices
Support equipment replacements, capital improvements, and remodel projects as assigned
Manage work orders, scheduling, and documentation through a CMMS platform
Track expenses, vehicle inspections, and monthly purchasing activity
Communicate clearly with restaurant leadership, operations teams, and facilities leadership
Ensure compliance with all state, county, and local codes and regulations
Follow safety protocols and complete required trainings
Maintain safe work practices across all locations
Frequent travel between restaurant locations within the assigned market
On-call availability for after-hours emergencies as needed

Required

4+ years of facilities, building engineering, or multi-unit maintenance experience
Strong restaurant or food-service facilities experience required
Hands-on expertise with commercial restaurant equipment, including walk-ins, reach-ins, ice machines, ovens, ranges, warming equipment, and dish machines
Proven HVAC/R troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance experience
Working knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems
Ability to diagnose issues and make repair vs. replace recommendations
Strong communication, organization, and customer-service skills
Comfortable managing multiple locations and priorities independently
Experience using CMMS platforms and Microsoft Office tools
Comfortable with digital communication and collaboration tools
High school diploma or GED required
Active HVAC/R certification required
Ability to lift up to 80 lbs
Frequent climbing, bending, kneeling, and ladder use (up to 30 ft)
Ability to work in varying temperatures and conditions
Valid driver's license and clean driving record required

Preferred

EPA 608 (Universal) certification preferred
Additional trade certifications or technical training a plus
