Area Coordinator

Responsibilities
Issue Daily Operating Instructions, walk through process to inspect equipment and ensure all issues are addressed
Conduct weekly inspections of the workplace to identify, evaluate, and control workplace hazards
Work with the area engineer to ensure necessary changes and improvements are made for plant area to improve safety, equipment reliability, efficiency, quality of products, and processes
Perform training of all new operators qualifying to work in production area. Train all operators on any new equipment or processes
Review process trends and operator notes. Address/correct any issues related to safety, environmental, and quality
Lead and assist operators with troubleshooting as necessary to ensure production problems are resolved in a timely manner
Supervises hourly personnel in the area. Provide feedback, development and coaching. Participate in discipline process
Identify, coordinate, and facilitate maintenance needs for specific plant area to ensure safe and reliable operation
Issue and ensure correct use of LOTO, safe work permits, contractor work authorization permits and other permits as necessary
Managing inventories of raw materials needed to run the process
Completing daily and monthly production reports
Participate in trials, run reviews, and special projects in their area
Qualification
Required
High School Diploma
Have experience using computers including but not limited to creating documents and entering data
Ability to problem solve, effective decision making, experience in training others, and be effective at leading individuals and groups toward resolution of issues
Knowledge of safety, health, and environmental regulations and principles
Preferred
Technical program or certificate preferred
Minimum 5 years' experience in manufacturing environment preferred
2 years of supervision experience preferred
Knowledge of maintenance processes including mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation
