Responsibilities
Serve as the primary underwriting expert and market-facing leader within the assigned territory
Evaluate, select, and price middle market commercial risks while maintaining strong underwriting discipline
Partner closely with agents and brokers to drive new business opportunities and strengthen distribution relationships
Provide coaching, support, and technical guidance to underwriting team members
Identify trends and deliver territory insights to influence portfolio strategy
Represent our client at industry events, agency meetings, and key market engagements
Collaborate cross-functionally with product, analytics, risk control, and claims to deliver a cohesive customer experience
Qualification
Required
Demonstrated success underwriting middle market P&C accounts, with expertise across core lines
Strong market presence and ability to cultivate and expand agency relationships
Proven ability to make sound risk decisions and influence outcomes
Leadership qualities with a passion for mentoring and elevating others
Excellent communication, negotiation, and analytical skills
A proactive, solutions-driven approach and comfort operating autonomously in the field
