Livestock Accountant

Responsibilities
Process sales and purchase transactions and miscellaneous expense invoices
Must have knowledge of how AP/AR transactions affect the P&L for division
Monitor margins and adjust weighted average costs when required
Prepare journal entries and reconciliations for monthly general ledger close
Make any necessary adjusting entries
Maintain current schedule of reserves, prepays and accruals
Assist warehouse personnel with software issues
Prepare preliminary budget using historical data and current market intelligence
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business, or 3 years accounting experience
Accounting background
Preferred
Experience with inventory accounting preferred
