Federal Account Manager
GSMS, Incorporated is focused on providing experienced sales teams to the pharmaceutical and medical supply industries for the Federal Government and Hospital Markets. The Federal Account Manager will develop and implement sales strategies to increase market share and sales for client companies, while maintaining relationships with key stakeholders in the Federal Government markets.
Responsibilities
Responsible for the development, management, and implementation of sales strategies within the Federal Government Markets
Implement strategies to increase sales and market share for client company products
Develop and maintain a mutually beneficial business relationship with respect to performance measures assigned by existing client companies
Promote products to a wide range of specialty providers to increase sales and utilization
Access and understand the complexities of the Federal Government markets including the VA/DoD
Develop and maintain relationships ranging from target account administrators, pharmacy staff, P&T representatives, contracting officers and policy makers
Implement customized business plans for each target account specific to the client company and products serviced
Build long-term relationships to understand customers’ needs and project a positive WSI image
Qualification
Required
Minimum of a BA/BS
At least 5 years of successful field sales, hospital sales, managed-care, marketing, or sales management experience
Familiarity with working with Government Accounts
Ability to access and understand the complexities of the Federal Government markets including the VA/DoD
Ability to work effectively within these systems as it relates to their specific policies and procedures
Ability to implement customized business plans for each target account specific to the client company and products serviced
Strong teamwork capabilities
Interpersonal skills
Ability to coordinate activities with client management and field-based teams
Ability to promote products to a wide range of specialty providers to increase sales and utilization
Developing and maintaining relationships ranging from target account administrators, pharmacy staff, P&T representatives, contracting officers and policy makers in addition to all appropriate medical staff
Building long-term relationships to understand customers' needs
Projecting a positive WSI image as the premier outsourcing partner dedicated to this market niche
Preferred
Previous experience in Federal Government Healthcare Sales
Promotional background in Oncology and/or Neurology and Federal Healthcare
Prior military experience
