Juvenile Justice Staff Development & Training Intern (Summer 2026)
The North Carolina Department of Public Safety is dedicated to safeguarding the lives and property of the people of North Carolina. They are seeking a part-time Staff Development & Training Intern to assist in developing an in-service training course focused on juvenile justice topics, which will involve independent research and project management tasks.

Responsibilities
Conducting independent research on various topics
Interpreting General Statues, Administrative Code, Policies and Procedures and its application in meeting desired outcomes
Facilitating multiple aspects of project management for developing an adult learning course
Trouble-shooting and problem-solving a range of issues related to the development of training curricula for diverse work groups, specifically for adult learners
Qualification
Required
Must be currently enrolled in college or a recent college graduate
Must be pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree (or a recent graduate) in Criminal Justice, Public Administration, Sociology, Psychology, Education, or related Human Services field

Interns must submit to a background check and fingerprinting or consent to agency onboarding requirements
