LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking a Talent Acquisition Specialist to join their client's organization in the Harvey, IL area. The role involves partnering with hiring managers to understand job requirements, sourcing candidates, and managing the recruitment process from job postings to onboarding.

Responsibilities

Partner with hiring managers to understand job requirements and workforce needs
Create and post job descriptions and announcements across internal and external recruiting channels
Source candidates through job boards, social media, referrals, networking, and community outreach
Review resumes, conduct phone screens, and assess candidate qualifications
Coordinate and participate in interviews while maintaining timely communication with candidates
Prepare and extend employment offers; support background checks, reference checks, and onboarding tasks
Assist with new hire orientation to ensure a smooth transition for incoming employees
Support employer branding efforts and represent the organization at job fairs and recruitment events
Collaborate with leadership to improve hiring processes, reduce time‑to‑fill, and enhance candidate quality

Required

Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
4–5 years+ of recruiting or HR experience, ideally within a manufacturing or operational environment
Experience using ATS systems, digital recruiting platforms, and Microsoft Office tools
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Highly organized with strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple open requisitions
Ability to build strong relationships with hiring managers and candidates
Knowledge of labor laws and recruiting compliance requirements

Preferred

HR certifications are a plus
