Responsibilities

Support portfolio management activities including: validate and submit day-ahead energy schedules, produce and reconcile daily position and mark to market reports, and aggregate revenue and cost data to measure portfolio margin
Participate in the development and calibration of historical and forward pricing curves for power, natural gas, ancillary services, renewable energy credits and all other cost components of full requirements retail electricity products
Research complex business problems and identify opportunities to design, develop, and propose actionable solutions in support of costing, portfolio management and margin analysis activities
Support the development and enhancement of models and system platforms to support costing and portfolio management activities
Research and produce ad-hoc analysis on market fundamentals, risk exposure, customer load characteristics, various cost components and regulatory issues to enhance competitiveness, optimize risk exposure and improve the profitability of the retail portfolio
Coordinate with various functional groups to review and validate customer revenue and ISO settlement data to gain insights into portfolio profitability
Provide insight into the drivers of portfolio value from budget development through final settlement
Support new product development activities through coordination with various internal functional groups
Operate as a team member with all employees of ENGIE North America staff

Required

You hold a Bachelor's degree in a quantitative discipline such as Business, Economics, Engineering, Accounting, Mathematics, or Computer Science. In lieu of a degree, a minimum of five (5) years of directly relevant, hands-on experience that provides equivalent knowledge and expertise
A minimum of two (2) years or more of work-related experience
You are a problem-solver with strong analytical and statistical skills, able to convey complex technical analysis clearly to diverse audiences, including senior leadership
You have strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to work under tight deadlines while maintaining attention to detail
You have strong proficiency in MS Excel and experience working with large datasets
You are knowledgeable in energy market fundamentals, including customer usage patterns, pricing methodologies, options, and hedging practices for managing retail power risk
You have experience with data extraction, transformation, and management using tools such as VBA, SQL, Microsoft Power BI, and Python
You are organized, logical, and able to apply clear reasoning to support effective planning and decision-making
