This role involves partnering with senior leadership and engineering teams to drive cloud strategy and enterprise modernization initiatives in a regulated environment.

Responsibilities
Architect, design, and implement scalable, secure, and resilient AWS cloud infrastructure using services such as EC2, EKS, Lambda, VPC, S3, Auto Scaling, API Gateway, CloudFront, and RDS
Lead enterprise cloud architecture initiatives, from blueprint creation and prototyping through production deployment
Plan and execute step-wise migrations of legacy applications and services to cloud-native architectures with minimal business disruption
Drive DevOps best practices , including CI/CD pipeline design, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and automation-first delivery models
Build and maintain Terraform/Terragrunt modules to provision and manage AWS infrastructure at scale
Develop and maintain Jenkins shared libraries and standardized pipelines to accelerate delivery across multiple teams
Enable microservices deployments using Kubernetes (EKS) and container-based architectures
Design and implement cloud security controls using AWS IAM, WAF, Security Groups, and native AWS security services , integrated with Okta
Ensure infrastructure and applications meet security, audit, and compliance requirements in regulated healthcare and insurance environments
Implement monitoring, logging, and observability solutions using CloudWatch, Elasticsearch , and related tooling
Design and execute disaster recovery and high availability strategies , including multi-region deployments, automated failover, and data replication across Availability Zones
Continuously optimize performance, reliability, and cost efficiency through automation and dynamic scaling
Integrate enterprise platforms and services such as Adobe Sign, SmartCOMM, Edifecs, batch processing systems , and API-based workflows within AWS and Kubernetes environments
Support data transformation, validation, and document management pipelines across cloud-native and legacy systems
Serve as a subject matter expert for cloud architecture, DevOps, and modernization initiatives
Provide strategic guidance and technical advisory to senior leadership and stakeholders
Mentor and guide engineers transitioning into DevOps and cloud-native roles; lead and influence large engineering teams
Evaluate emerging AWS services and conduct proof-of-concept (POC) initiatives to assess business value and technical feasibility
Qualification
Required
14+ years of experience in software engineering, cloud engineering, or DevOps roles
Strong hands-on expertise with AWS services, including compute, networking, storage, and serverless
Deep experience with Terraform/Terragrunt, CI/CD pipelines, and automation
Strong knowledge of Kubernetes (EKS) and microservices architectures
Experience with security, compliance, and audit requirements in enterprise environments
Proficiency in monitoring, logging, and observability tooling
Strong communication skills with the ability to work across technical and non-technical teams
Preferred
Experience in Healthcare, Insurance, or Financial Services domains
Experience supporting large-scale enterprise platforms and mission-critical systems
Background in cloud modernization and legacy system transformation
Exposure to AWS ML services, Step Functions, DynamoDB, SQS, SNS, and serverless architectures
