Responsibilities

Develops and reviews educational and professional development training curriculum

Prepares and conducts training classes

Develops, reviews, and updates training manuals, materials, and lesson plans

Researches, reviews, and updates training visual aids

Manages and analyzes surveys for program development

Works with other departments to develop in-house training

Maintains training records and participant files

Travels to different locations to participate in training programs initiatives and conducts training sessions

Coordinates and participates with local entities, higher education, and private institutions

Prepares and monitors the division budget

Performs related duties and fulfills responsibilities as required

Required

Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university

Two (2) years of increasing responsible experience as a trainer or instructor

Valid Class 'C' Texas Driver's License

Preferred

Experience in designing, delivering, and evaluating effective in-person and virtual trainings

Experience in developing and managing effective training/professional development programs using a variety of teaching methods, adult learning theories, instructional materials and resources

Certified Professional Trainer (CPT), Certified Learning and Development Professional (CLDP), or similar certification(s)
