Responsibilities

Partner with an Assistant Regional Practice Leader to manage project workflows, staffing, and performance metrics
Drive new business development with your fire protection expertise design, identifying and engaging with prospective clients and partners
Expand market presence by researching industry trends, attending events, and building professional relationships
Work closely with internal teams and assist to develop client proposals, pricing, and scopes of work
Maintain subject matter expertise in fire protection engineering, building codes, risk mitigation, and compliance regulations
Oversee high-quality delivery of engineering services to new and existing clients
Support recruitment, development, and retention of technical staff in alignment with company values and performance standards
Serve as a thought leader and regional ambassador for the company’s engineering practice

Required

10+ years of experience in engineering, architecture, or fire protection or similar mechanical design practices
Management experience (4+ years) leading a small fire engineering consulting team
Proven success in relationship management
Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills
Familiarity with relevant building/fire codes, NFPA standards, and risk compliance strategies

Preferred

Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Architecture preferred or equivalent
PE license (Professional Engineer) preferred or willing to obtain
NICET certification or Certified Fire Protection Specialist (CFPS) is a plus but not required
