Mechanical Field Service Engineer

Resource Professional Solutions is seeking a Mechanical Field Service Engineer to perform onsite inspections of air pollution control equipment at industrial facilities. Responsibilities

Perform detailed mechanical inspections of industrial pollution control equipment
Document equipment condition through photographs, notes, and measurements
Identify maintenance and repair needs and communicate findings clearly
Generate high-quality inspection reports used by customers and internal engineering, estimating, construction, and proposals teams
Support and observe maintenance and repair work, providing quality control and verification
Interface directly with customer personnel during outage planning and daily progress meetings
Represent the company professionally at customer sites
Structural and component condition assessments
Alignment checks (frames, conveyors, drives)
Corrosion and wear evaluation
Welding and fabrication inspection
Rigging and mechanical system observation
Safe use of multimeters and basic test equipment
Verifying power, heater, and transformer readings
Identifying and documenting observed electrical issues
Supporting troubleshooting efforts as needed

Required

4-year engineering degree for Field Service Engineer or 2-year associate degree or equivalent technical experience for Field Service Technician
Strong mechanical aptitude
Proficiency with Windows-based laptops
Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
Ability to write clear, professional reports with strong attention to detail
Ability to work in confined spaces and industrial environments
Comfortable climbing ladders, scaffolding, stairs, and equipment structures
Ability to work in hot, cold, dusty, and non-air-conditioned environments
Willingness to perform hands-on work typical of construction and industrial maintenance sites
Frequent travel to customer facilities throughout the U.S
Occasional emergency response for critical equipment issues
Availability for after-hours or weekend calls as needed
Strict adherence to safety protocols
Serve as the primary onsite representative of the company
Communicate clearly and professionally with customer maintenance teams and management

Preferred

AutoCAD experience
Experience with basic electrical verification and troubleshooting
Safe use of multimeters and basic test equipment
Identifying and documenting observed electrical issues
