Responsibilities

Manage hardware engineering team across optical, electrical, and integration disciplines
Set technical direction and maintain the hardware development roadmap
Own system-level design decisions for electro-optical communication platforms
Build internal test infrastructure and validation capabilities
Source and manage external manufacturing partners and component suppliers
Provide technical mentorship to engineering staff
Report progress and technical strategy to company leadership

Required

Advanced degree (MS minimum) in Electrical Engineering, Optics, or adjacent field
10+ years hardware development experience in industry settings
Previous experience managing engineering teams (5+ direct reports)
Strong technical background in optical systems and electronic design
Familiarity with high-speed digital and analog circuit architectures
Track record delivering hardware products from concept to manufacturing

Preferred

Doctoral degree in relevant technical discipline
Hands-on experience with integrated optics or optical packaging
Background in firmware or embedded control systems
