Major Account Executive, New Accounts- New England
Akamai Technologies is a cutting-edge cloud security company that focuses on securing the largest challenges faced by State and Local Government and Education organizations. The Major Account Executive will develop strategic sales plans, build relationships, and secure contracts to maximize the adoption of Akamai technology within the SLED market.

Responsibilities
Developing strategic sales plans to maximize opportunities through existing and new accounts
Using relationships to prospect, develop leads, build pipeline and pursue contracts
Utilizing marketing resources and industry knowledge to create and manage a high-volume sales pipeline ensuring forecast accuracy
Securing new and renewals contracts to maximize adoption of Akamai technology and customer satisfaction
Partnering with sales engineers, influencers and subject matter experts to ensure consultative engagement with prospects and customers
Qualification
Required
5 years of SLED and Security experience
Bachelors' degree
Excellent knowledge of the Cybersecurity Ecosystems, Cloud Security and Zero Trust
Successful sales experience in system, solution or channel sales within the SLED environment
Prior experience selling IT solutions to State & Local governments and Education in New England area
Display an ethical approach to sales, show integrity, personal dedication and be able to uphold Akamai values
