Responsibilities
Researches, develops, designs, and tests electrical components, equipment, systems, and networks
Designs electrical equipment, facilities, components, products, and systems for commercial, industrial, and domestic purposes
Qualification
Required
9 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 7 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; or 4 years relevant experience with PhD or Juris Doctorate in related field
US Citizen with ability to obtain a Secret or higher security clearance
Experience with the following: Printed circuit board (PCB) and cable harness design
Experience with the following: Mixed digital and analog circuit design
Experience with the following: Board level component selection including, but not limited to – microcontrollers, FPGAs, DC-DC converters, ADCs, accelerometers, etc
Experience with the following: Various communications protocols including USB, SPI, I2C, and UART
Experience with the following: Schematic capture and layout using Altium or equivalent SW tools
Experience with the following: PCB bring-up and debugging, test plan documentation, requirements verification
Experience with the following: Hands-on assembly of and modifications to custom and COTS electronics systems
Experience with the following: Use of standard electrical test equipment including, but not limited to – DMM, oscilloscope, power supplies, electronic loads
Experience with the following: Creation of complete technical data packages
Experience with the following: Requirements tracking through design processes
Preferred
Active TS or TS/SCI security clearance
Experience with the following design elements: Circuit layout within tight and unusual mechanical constraints
Experience with the following design elements: Low SWAP
Experience with the following design elements: Multi-board systems
Experience with the following design elements: High speed layout
Experience with the following design elements: High power layout
Experience with the following design elements: Controlled impedance
Experience with the following design elements: RF, antennas, and communication systems integration
Expert troubleshooting and system debugging of hardware, firmware, and cabling

Ability to mentor/lead more junior engineers and technicians
Experience interfacing directly with customers for requirements development and progress reporting
Experience contributing to technical proposal writing, cost estimating and technical risk assessments
