SPRX is hiring a Senior Software Engineer to help lead technical development on our AI-powered tax credit platform. You'll be a technical leader on our small engineering team, driving architecture decisions and mentoring other engineers while owning the design and implementation of core platform features.

Responsibilities

Own the design and implementation of core platform features, from complex tax calculation engines to document processing pipelines
Make architectural decisions that balance shipping speed with long-term maintainability
Mentor engineers on the team and raise the bar for code quality and technical practices
Partner with product and customer success to scope technical solutions for new product lines
Improve our infrastructure, tooling, and developer experience as we grow

Required

3+ years of professional software engineering experience
5+ years of professional software engineering experience with meaningful time spent on complex systems
Deep experience with TypeScript/Node or transferable backend expertise
Strong opinions on system design, data modeling, and API architecture
Communication skills to advocate for system design opinions
Track record of shipping features end-to-end and owning outcomes, not just code
Experience mentoring other engineers through code review, pairing, or technical leadership

Preferred

Experience with serverless or event-driven architectures at scale
Background building AI-powered features or working with LLMs in production
Familiarity with fintech, tax, or domains with intricate business logic and compliance requirements
