The Staff Accountant is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing accounts payable, and preparing financial statements while ensuring effective communication with franchise owners.

Responsibilities

Accurately categorize 50-150 bank and credit card transactions monthly

Manage accounts payable for large vendors, ensuring timely and accurate payments, positive vendor relationships, and monitoring cash flow

Record and reconcile general ledger (GL) activity from clients' CRM software platforms

Reconcile merchant payments processed through the CRM, addressing any discrepancies promptly

Perform monthly reconciliations of bank accounts and credit card statements

Prepare comprehensive monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements

Understand industry-specific activities to ensure consistent and accurate financial statement presentation

Review payroll processed through third-party applications

Communicate effectively with franchise owners via Microsoft Outlook and Teams, providing financial updates and guidance
