Responsibilities
Performs complex duties involving the assembly, fabrication, troubleshooting, testing, repair, overhaul, modification, and general maintenance of electrical equipment or components which have typically been removed from larger systems or assemblies on marine equipment
Performs other tasks as assigned
Will be required to work outside for extended periods of times
Qualification
Required
AA degree in electrical engineering or related discipline
Eight years of directly related work experience
Complete the Navy Electrical Repair Course or equivalent
In-depth knowledge of electrical circuitry, electrical principles and formulas, and their practical application to the equipment and systems repaired
Thorough knowledge of electronic circuitry and theory relative to a marine equipment/systems
Ability to apply a knowledge of mechanical theory and of pneumatic and hydraulic principles to isolate, repair, or replace faulty components
Ability to apply knowledge of wire color codes, symbols, layout sheets, wiring diagrams, schematics, technical orders, and manufacturer's specifications
Ability to comply with all established methods, quality standards, and time schedules applicable to this position
U.S. Citizen
Must be able to obtain and maintain a Common Access Card (CAC) and Base Access
