Responsibilities

Interpret drawings, specifications, submittals, and job orders, ensuring accurate communication to Foremen and crews

Lead teams of pipe fitters & helpers across all assigned phases of projects

Attend job meetings and coordinate closely with the department manager on manpower, tools, equipment rentals, and material deliveries

Enforce company policies, safety regulations, and compliance with building codes

Supervise hydronic piping installation and equipment connections

Guide Foremen to maintain safe work practices and productive workflow

Coordinate with other trades to prevent conflicts and maintain project efficiency

Distinguish between contract work and additional scope items

Communicate expectations clearly to Foremen and crews, ensuring instructions are understood

Maintain high standards of workmanship and instill pride in quality among team members

Provide input on hiring and dismissal decisions in collaboration with Foremen and department managers

Assemble procurement orders for materials, tools, and equipment at project start

Establish and adjust work sequences to meet construction schedules

Evaluate worker abilities to optimize daily job assignments

Review schedules and estimate man hours required for project completion

Ensure accurate timekeeping and documentation

Follow all health and safety standards

Prepare written reports summarizing issues and corrective actions taken
