This role involves hands-on tasks in greenhouse and field production, vegetable harvesting, and landscape maintenance, while collaborating with culinary staff to provide fresh produce for campus dining needs.

Responsibilities
Perform vegetable farm and greenhouse tasks including seeding, transplanting, trellising, harvesting, washing, and packaging produce
Carry out routine landscape and grounds maintenance including mowing, trimming, weeding, and trash removal
Assist with vehicle and equipment maintenance through cleaning and routine service checks
Maintain clean, organized, and safe workspaces
Provide support to the Land & Natural Resources Manager and Interior Horticulturist as needed
Participate in large-scale seasonal projects (infrastructure improvements, preservation, grounds care)
Demonstrate inclusion through words and actions and maintain accountability for a safe workspace, treating colleagues with kindness, curiosity, and respect
Embrace and apply Promega’s 6 Emotional & Social Intelligence (ESI) core principles in daily work
Understand and comply with ethical, legal, and regulatory requirements applicable to our business
Qualification
Required
High school diploma, or relevant education such as a degree or coursework in Horticulture, Agriculture, or a related field, or proven work experience that ensures readiness for success in this role
Valid driver's license
Preferred
Previous experience in vegetable gardening, greenhouse work, or farming
Experience with power tools and equipment such as string trimmers, lawn mowers, ATVs, and tractors
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Horticulture, Agriculture, or a related field
