Responsibilities
Professionally execute installation, inspection, and overhaul of gearboxes, couplings, lubrication units, and auxiliaries
Conduct customer and internal training as appropriate
Maintain equipment and site location records
Provide technical support to Customer Service Project Managers and to customers
Prepare concise technical reports from site visits, including recommendations relating to further actions and spare parts
Accurately maintain timesheets to document work performed
Maintain MSHA certification and comply with all company, customer, and legislated safety policies and regulations
Qualification
Required
A BS Degree in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent industry experience)
5 years of field service experience in the machine building industry, preferably gearbox manufacturing
Deep knowledge of gears and rotating parts
Fluent in English (speak, read, write)
The ability to communicate in Spanish will be considered an advantage
Honest and self-motivated with a positive attitude and ability to work with minimum supervision
Outgoing personality and enjoys networking and meeting new people and different cultures
Availability and willingness to travel approximately 75% of the time, including international travels and to remote areas where mines and cement plants are often located
Good vision with ability to identify colors
