Structural Engineer/Associate (Infrastructure Risk) (Ph.D.)

The Structural Engineer/Associate will be responsible for developing analytical tools, performing risk analyses, and preparing technical reports related to infrastructure risks in the energy sector.

Responsibilities
Developing and implementing analytical tools and frameworks to characterize and assess critical infrastructure risks and support decision making
Performing quantitative and probabilistic risk analysis to determine the impacts of hazards on infrastructure
Performing engineering analyses related to project work in the energy sector
Preparing technical reports and presentations related to project work in the energy sector
Qualification
Required
Ph.D. in Civil/Structural Engineering
EIT or PE (Civil) or the ability to obtain a Professional Engineer license within 3 years
Technical background in probabilistic risk analysis
Excellent written and verbal communications skills (Writes clearly and concisely; writing is thorough and technically accurate; Speaks clearly and concisely)
Ability to work independently and in multidisciplinary teams
Ability to gather information and convey technical conclusions to individuals in engineering, business, and related industry
Applies technical knowledge, creativity and innovation in completing assignments
Efficient and poised under stress; receptive to changes and new ideas; ability to prioritize tasks
Ability to support multiple group projects
