Senior Engineering IT Program Manager – Systems Focus

The Senior Engineering IT Program Manager – Systems Focus will lead strategic initiatives at the intersection of R&D and IT within the automotive EV manufacturing domain, driving the integration of engineering systems and digital tools to enhance innovation and efficiency across global teams.
Responsibilities
Lead implementation and optimization of engineering IT systems (e.g., PLM, CAD, simulation platforms) to meet R&D and product development needs specific to EV programs
Apply systems engineering principles across development, deployment, and lifecycle management of engineering tools and platforms
Drive end-to-end execution, including planning, resourcing, risk management, and stakeholder communication, across multiple concurrent projects
Partner with global engineering, IT, and manufacturing teams to align initiatives with EV development goals
Champion new thinking and innovative methods in tool adoption and process design to support scalable, modern EV programs
Utilize Jira for workflow and progress tracking; familiarity with Agile and SAFe frameworks is a plus
Lead change management and adoption strategies for new engineering technologies and processes
Anticipate issues, identify opportunities, and drive continuous improvement across engineering IT initiatives
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's or Master's degree in engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline
Minimum 8 years in engineering or R&D environments, including 5+ years in IT project or program management
Proven success leading complex, cross-functional projects in fast-paced, high-stakes settings
Strong understanding of systems engineering methodologies and their application to product development
Hands-on experience with engineering IT systems (PLM, CAD, simulation, software development environments)
Proficiency with Jira for project management and collaboration
Technical Acumen: Deep understanding of engineering systems and IT integration in product development environments
Program Leadership: Ability to manage complex, multi-project portfolios with clarity and accountability
Systems Thinking: Strong grasp of systems engineering principles applied to real-world R&D challenges
Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication with stakeholders across global teams
Collaboration: Skilled in cross-functional and multicultural team environments
Agility: Adaptable, innovative, and proactive in managing change and driving improvement
Occasional travel required for cross-site coordination, vendor meetings, and collaboration with international teams
Applicants must have authorization to work in the United States that does not now, or in the future, require sponsorship
Preferred
Experience in automotive or EV manufacturing
Certifications such as PMP, SAFe Program Consultant (SPC), or Certified ScrumMaster (CSM)
Familiarity with cloud-based engineering platforms and digital transformation initiatives
