Junior System Engineer

SecureNet MSP is a managed service provider focused on delivering reliable, secure, and human-centered IT solutions to growing businesses. They are seeking a Junior Systems Administrator who will assist in administering Windows-based environments and support Microsoft 365 tenants while working closely with senior engineers and administrators.

Responsibilities

Assist in administering and maintaining Windows-based environments (servers, endpoints, Active Directory, Azure AD)
Support Microsoft 365 tenants including user management, Exchange, SharePoint, and OneDrive administration
Assist with backups, disaster recovery tasks, and system monitoring
Handle Tier 2 support escalations with guidance from senior staff
Perform patching, updates, and basic system hardening tasks
Assist with configuration and monitoring of RMM, antivirus, and EDR tools
Perform on-site client visits approximately half of the time, including travel up to Orlando and Fort Myers
Work remotely during non–on-site hours handling administration tasks, follow-ups, and documentation
Assist with onboarding and offboarding of users and devices
Maintain accurate documentation of systems, configurations, and procedures
Support security initiatives such as MFA rollouts, access reviews, and endpoint protection
Participate in scheduled after-hours maintenance as needed (limited and planned)

Required

2–4 years of hands-on IT experience in systems administration, MSP support, or advanced helpdesk roles
This role is not intended for entry-level or first-job IT candidates
Must be located in Northern South Florida or Lower Central Florida, or willing to relocate to this region
Ability to reliably commute to client sites across South and Central Florida
Comfortable working a hybrid schedule with approximately 50% on-site time
Working knowledge of Windows Server concepts and Active Directory
Practical experience with Microsoft 365 administration
Solid understanding of networking fundamentals (DNS, DHCP, firewalls, VPNs)
Strong troubleshooting skills and willingness to take ownership of issues
Comfortable communicating with clients in person and remotely
Ability to document work clearly and consistently

Preferred

Prior MSP experience
Exposure to Azure or hybrid environments
Familiarity with RMM and PSA tools
Basic PowerShell or automation experience
Interest in cybersecurity best practices or certifications
