Chief Electrical Engineer
The Davis Companies is seeking a Chief Electrical Engineer to provide technical leadership for new applications and aftermarket opportunities. The role involves performing failure analysis, developing specifications, and supporting customer service teams in power train applications.
Responsibilities
Provide technical leadership to the facilities in new applications and aftermarket opportunities, specifically focused on engineered solutions, design upgrades, problem solving/trouble-shooting and development of potential motor and motor controls intellectual property (IP)
Perform failure analysis of motors, generators and other related equipment
Develop and/or approve specifications, changes or upgrades for reverse engineered parts in motor aftermarket opportunities
Support Customer Service teams across the network in developing solutions to new power train applications consisting of motors/couplings/gear drives
Demonstrate leadership and talent management skills
Ability to work with diverse business groups in remote geographical facilities with challenging customer, technical and delivery requirements within the business unit
Excellent communication skills (verbal & written) and teamwork approach with corporate and site engineering
Strong systemic mindset and problem-solving skills
Strong analytical skills including the ability to analyze and interpret critical data
Skilled in all basic MS Office products and working knowledge of ERP systems (preferably Epicor)
Experience in design, manufacture, testing and applications of AC and DC electric motors, Motor-Generator (MG) sets and generators and related controls primarily utilized in nuclear and fossil power generation facilities
Familiarity with current industry standards (IEEE, NEMA, EASA, etc.)
Limited travel 15%

15 Years of Experience and 3 years of Management experience
BSEE a MUST HAVE
