Associate, Employment Litigation
Constangy, Brooks, Smith & Prophete is seeking an associate attorney with experience in employment litigation. The role involves drafting and responding to discovery, arguing motions, and providing legal counsel in labor and employment law matters.
Responsibilities
Drafting and responding to discovery and initial pleadings
Drafting and arguing motions
Taking and defending depositions primarily in matters in state and federal court and arbitration involving claims of discrimination, harassment, wrongful termination, etc
Providing advice and counsel support to clients
Qualification
Required
2-6 years of experience as an associate attorney
Comfortable drafting and responding to discovery and initial pleadings
Drafting and arguing motions
Taking and defending depositions primarily in matters in state and federal court and arbitration
Experience involving claims of discrimination, harassment, wrongful termination, etc
Providing advice and counsel support to clients
Excellent academic credentials
Strong writing and analytical skills
Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
Self-starter with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
Must be admitted to practice in California
Preferred
Significant experience in labor and employment law
Strong litigation experience and a demonstrated interest in labor and employment law
